Flystein provides an online platform (“Platform”) where customers (“Customers”) receive consulting services (“Services”) from travel and airfare consultants (“Experts”) about the best and the cheapest flights as well as other supplementary travel advice services.
By using the Platform, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions of these Terms of Service (“Terms”), whether or not you become a registered user of the Services. These Terms govern your access to and use of Flystein’s Platform and Services. Flystein reserves the right to update and modify these Terms at any time. It is Customer’s responsibility to check this page for possible changes.
The Expert provides the following Services: searching, building and suggesting the best and the cheapest flight itineraries available at the moment of the Service, as well as other recommendations regarding frequent flyer programs, miles, airlines, airports and destinations.
The Expert also provides the Customer a detailed overview of the steps involved in the booking process. It is the responsibility of Customer to book and pay for the flights and for all fees incurred from the airline (“Airline”) or travel agencies (“Travel Agent”) used.
Flystein charges a flat fee (“Service Fee”) which covers the cost of the Experts who search for, build and suggest travel itineraries and document the steps necessary for the Customer to purchase flight tickets via a third party Airline or Travel Agent.
For the Build My Trip Service, the Service Fee is charged upfront. The Service Fee is calculated by the Flystein Platform based upon the complexity, number of legs, class of travel and number of passengers. The Service Fee is non-refundable.
For the Beat My Price Service, an authorization is placed upon the Customer’s credit card upfront. The Service Fee is calculated by the Flystein Platform based upon the complexity, number of legs, class of travel and number of passengers.
The credit card authorization is reversed only in the following case:
For example, if the Customer provides evidence of a flight deal that is priced at $500 and pays a Service Fee of $49 and the Expert cannot find a deal that is cheaper than $451, the Expert reverses the authorization on the Customer’s credit card.
Flystein does not act as a Travel Agent and does not sell flight tickets. Therefore it does not refund more than the Service Fee paid by a Customer.
All payments are handled by a trusted third party payment system, Stripe.
Under no circumstances is Flystein, or its suppliers, liable to any Customer for any issues arising from i) their use or inability to use the product or the breach of this agreement or ii) the contract between Customer and the travel product supplier or iii) the contract between the Customer and the Airline(s).
Flystein does not sell any travel products and is therefore not responsible for the quality and suitability of these products.
Flystein recommends that every Customer purchases proper travel insurance for every trip.
Flystein is neither obligated nor responsible for providing notice or information concerning any regulations with regard to passports, visas, customs, health or negative travel advisory due to conflict situations or acts of nature. Please note that you cannot travel if you do not have all the required travel documents, such as passports, visas, re-entry permits, and vaccinations for your chosen destination. It is your responsibility to check if you need a visa and/or other documentation for the country you are flying to or for any countries you may be transiting through.
If you do not have the correct documentation, you may be refused carriage by the air carrier or entry into any country. Where entry is refused, fines or other penalties may be imposed on you. Any passenger who travels without the required visa/passport/other documents is solely responsible for and must immediately pay all fines, surcharges, costs (including the cost of their immediate return flight), and any other amounts of any description which are incurred or imposed by the Airline or Travel Agency. This will occur regardless of whether the lack correct documentation is discovered at the airport where you are departing. Flystein disclaims any liability in this situation and no compensation, expenses, refund or other amount will be paid to the Customer.
Neither Flystein nor the Expert can be considered responsible for any kind of issues arising from contracts between the Customer and the Airline(s), Travel Agent(s) or other third parties involved in selling flight tickets or providing transportation services.
The Platform is provided “as is”. Flystein and its associates hereby disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Neither Flystein nor its associates make any warranty that access to the Platform will be continuous or uninterrupted. The Customer clearly understands that they are using the Platform at their own discretion and risk.
By submitting any information (“Content”), such as reviews and comments, to Flystein, you grant Flystein a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sub-license) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish Content for the purposes of travel consulting services, marketing, sales, and data analysis.
